SANTA FE – Mr. Tony Patterson passed from this life Saturday morning, August 19, 2017, in Santa Fe.

Born October 2, 1940 in Galveston, Mr. Patterson had been a resident of Santa Fe for 9 years, previously of Kemah. Known lovingly as the “Mayor of 4th Street,” Tony enjoyed listening to country music, sitting on his porch and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harbert and Ivy Bell (Harden) Patterson; daughter, Bonnie Patterson; step-son, David Michael Jackson; step-daughter, Melissa Jackson; brothers, Martin L. Patterson, Tommy Patterson, Billy Patterson; sisters, Maxine Moore and Minerva Freeland.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 40 years, Patsy Patterson; son, Richard A. Patterson and wife, Kimberly; brother, David Patterson; sister, Dorothy Straite; in-laws, J.T. and Mildred Wallace; grandchildren, Lacey Burge and husband, Robert, Tyler Patterson, Richard Patterson, Jr., Morgan Patterson and wife, Rae, Michael Patterson, Christine Patterson, Amber Patterson; great-grandchildren, Porter, Matthew, Avery, Landon, Abigail and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Arcadia First Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Smith officiating. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
