Allie Joyce (Etue) Marques

Ms. Allie Joyce Marques, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed from this life Friday evening, July 26, 2024, in Hitchcock.

Allie was born on November 27, 1938, in Watson, Arkansas. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Andrew Etue and Emma (Mitts) Etue; son, Joseph Kyle Marques; brothers, Charles Alvin Etue, Theodore Frank Etue; sisters, Evelyn Peais, Alice Jewel Heard, Mary Frances Williams.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Marques and wife, Barbara from Hitchcock, Sean Marques and wife, Diane from TN; daughters, Monique Jackson and husband Oran, Marchani Yarn all from Hitchcock, Misty Bunte from Jones Creek; brothers, Melvin Etue from LA, Clayton Etue from AR; sister, Charlene Serento from AR; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend Horace Stephens officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Marques, Alex Marques, Joe Jackson, Nathaniel Jackson, Brandon Marques, Quinn Yarn, Ryder Yarn, Braden Squires and Ethan Bunte. 

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
