Ana Maria (Barbosa) Garcia

Ana Maria Garcia passed away at the age of 46 on March 15, 2025, in Dickinson.

Born June 19, 1978, in McAllen, TX, Mrs. Garcia was a long-term resident of Dickison. Ana worked as a sales clerk for Perfumania for many years, always displaying an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to excellence. Her perseverance, kindness, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her. When she was not working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Ana’s love, wisdom, and laughter will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Santos Barbosa.

Survivors include her husband, Edil Garcia; daughters, Lisette Medina and husband, Erik Lopez, Yonetsy Medina, Veronica Medina and husband, Jesus Varela, Janeth Barbosa; brothers, Noe Barbosa and wife, Alma, Jose Barbosa, Manuel Barbosa; sisters, Trinidad Maldonado and husband, Ramiro, Joanna Delacruz and husband, Emilio; grandchildren, Yullisa Lopez, Melanie Lopez, Eliana Lopez, Analeigh Rodriguez, Adrian Aguilera, Joziah Varela and Zavian Varela.

Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Fabio Castaneda officiating.
