SPICEWOOD – Mrs. Ann Jeanette Bowen passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2023.


She was born June 26, 1943, in Galveston, Texas. She married her lifelong best friend and the love of her life, Michael W. Bowen, Sr., who proceeded her in death in 2012.


Ann was a loving and dedicated mother of three sons, Michael Bowen, Jr., and his wife, Teresa of Austin, Donald Bowen and his wife, Kim of Kentucky, Timothy Bowen and his wife, Danielle of Spicewood.


Ann loved to cook and was known for making the best Fudge and Chocolate Pies. She passed down all her love, knowledge, kindness and her sense of humor to all her grandchildren, whom she adored, loved and cherished ~ Christopher Bowen, Ashley Bowen, Andrea Bowen, Joshua Bowen, Skyler Bowen and Joseph Bowen.


Her life and attitude were both a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32- "and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."


She is preceded in death by her husband; parents, John and Florence Quebe; brothers, John Quebe, Jr. and Charles Quebe; sisters, Charlene Kelly and Jean Saragosa.


Survivors include her sons; brother, Dennis Quebe and wife, Linda of Ohio; sister, Joan Spain and husband, A. V. of Santa Fe; brother-in-law, Harold Kelly; 6 grandchildren.


Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Deacon Michael Carr officiating.
