SANTA FE - Anna Lisa Garza unexpectedly passed away from this life Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024, in Santa Fe. Lisa was born in Alvin, TX on August 10, 1969, to Gilbert and Evangelina (Hernandez) Garza. She resided in Santa Fe proceeding her death and enjoyed working in the automotive industry. Lisa was known for living life to the fullest. She was the epitome of joy and laughter, always the loudest in the room. Her vibrant personality and quick wit brought laughter and happiness to all who knew her. She cherished her family and numerous friendships and was beloved for her vivacious spirit and generous heart. She loved cooking and baking for her loved ones and her passion for loving life and having a good time was infectious to all who were fortunate enough to be around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Evangelina (Hernandez) Garza of Santa Fe; brother-in-law, Virgil Cutright of Angleton.
Survivors include her eight siblings, Ruben Garza, Albert Garza and wife, Sheryl, Delma Bradford, and husband, Jim all of Santa Fe, Belinda Cutright of Angleton, Robert Garza and wife, Malou, Yolanda Barrington and husband, Ken, Harold Lee Garza, all of Waskom, Marie Gatz and husband, Gregory of Marietta, GA; her nieces and nephews, Richard M. Urbani, Robert A. Garza, Summer L. Urbani, Candice L. Cutright, Misty R. Rodriguez, David L. Sanderford, Ruben E. Garza, Anna Marie Koelzer, Christina Sanderford, Dexter L. Gatz, Jennifer N. Garza, and Albert G. Garza.
Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409)-925-3501, with Judge Doug Rotenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery. Reception to follow at Daryl’s Place, 3330 Avenue A.
Pallbearers will be David L. Sanderford, Albert G. Garza, Dexter L. Gatz, Jerry Rodriguez, Wesley R. Koelzer, and Richie M. Urbani. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Rex and BJ Burd.
