Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Zaro
SANTA FE - Mrs. Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Zaro passed from this life Friday morning, January 5, 2024, in Santa Fe.
Born December 23, 1939, in Fresno, CA, Barbara had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1978. She worked as a bookkeeper for K-Mart for 25 years, in her free time she enjoyed reading and listening to bluegrass, country and gospel music. Barbara loved her family, but especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd King and Aloydis Evadaphne (Odegaard) King; husband, John Zaro; son, John “Jay” Zaro.
Survivors include her sons, Don Zaro, Sr. and wife, Dorothy, James Ray Zaro and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Jason Zaro (Jonelle), Regan Zaragoza (Nash), Ashley Padeiro (Miguel), Don Zaro, Jr., Michael Zaro (Leann), Sarah Zaro; great grandchildren, Chloe, Jaxson, Michael, Jr., Brody, Gavin, Katelyn, Allison and Janet Zaro, Johnny Latronica, Jordyn Gonzalez, Morgan Ivy Ann and Moises Zaragoza, Miguel, Jr. and Kensley Padeiro; great-great grandchild, Kingston Padeiro; sister, Virginia Silveira.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Jake Bigford officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Loma Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Zaro, Regan Zaragoza, Miguel Padeiro, Don Zaro, Jr., Michael Zaro and Sarah Zaro.
Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Heart Association, Post Office Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125.
