HOUSTON - Mrs. Betty Jean Pride Callahan passed from this life Wednesday morning, November 29, 2023, in Houston.

Born November 11, 1929 in Galveston, Mrs. Callahan had been a resident of Houston for 3 years, previously of Santa Fe. Betty attended First Baptist Church of Alta Loma and was very active in bible study. She was a proud “BOI” and loved the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ida (Thurow) Bleimeyer; husband, Ronald Murry Pride, Sr.; sister, Helen Mancuso; brothers, Rudy Bleimeyer, Frank Bleimeyer.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Murry Pride, Jr. from Georgetown, TX; daughter, Starlite Pride LeBlanc of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Michelle, Charlotte, Michael, Ryan and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Luke, Christina, Tyler and Caleb.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, with Pastor Jake Bigford officiating.

Pallbearers will be Wes Ball, Oly Dagestad, Tyler Harris, Michael LeBlanc, Luke Marrs and Ryan Pride.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Betty’s name to First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, Post Office Box 547, Santa Fe, Texas 77510.
