Bobbie Joe Lyons

FLORESVILLE – Mr. Bobbie Joe Lyons passed from this life Monday, July 27, 2020, in Floresville.

Born October 5, 1940 in Sulphur, Louisiana, Mr. Lyons had been a resident of Floresville since July of 2018, previously of Vidor. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. After returning home, Bobbie became a truck driver working for Gulf Oil and later starting his own truck driving business.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Percy and Audrey (Baker) Lyons; his wife, Marion Lyons and a brother-in-law, Clifford K. Welch.

Survivors include his sons, Trent Lyons and wife, Laura of Santa Fe, TX, Anthony “Tony” Lyons and wife, Stephanie of Kailua, Hawaii; daughters, Cara Boudreau of Baton Rouge, LA, Leticia Sheffield and husband, Matt of Buda, TX; sisters, Margie Ruth Welch of West Lake, LA, Linda S. Gilbert and husband, Eugene of Sulphur, LA, Nettie Lois Campbell and husband, Tommy L., Faye Doris Arndt and husband, Eugene “Gene” of Lake Charles, LA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX, (409) 925-3501, with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Howard Agnew officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
