ALVIN - Mr. Charles Marshall Surber, Jr. passed from this life Monday, December 26, 2022, in Alvin.

Born March 29, 1975 in Texas City, Mr. Surber had been a resident of Alvin for several years, previously of Santa Fe. Charles enjoyed mountain and street biking, video gaming, beer, cigars and visiting with friends at the coffee shop solving the world issues but most of all, he loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anton and Fay Hrna, John H. Surber and Joyce Surber.

Survivors include his mother, Charlene Hrna of Santa Fe; father, Charles M. Surber, Sr.; brothers, Gary Wesley Surber and Rebekah Leigh Goodman of Santa Fe, Dusty M. Surber of Georgia; sister, Casey Surber of Tennessee; aunt, Shirley Hrna of Milano, Texas; uncle, John Surber of Santa Fe; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Ray Jensen officiating.
