Cynthia Elizabeth “Doozie” South

Mrs. Cynthia Elizabeth “Doozie” South passed from this life Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Magnolia.

Born October 30, 1944, in Galveston, Mrs. South had been a resident of Magnolia for 7 years, previously of Austin. Cynthia was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking, baking, reading books and watching movies. Cindy always supported her children and grandchildren, which was her priority and passion in life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Emmett Watson; sister, Robin Ray Hamilton.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Elizabeth Watson of Spring; son, Jeffrey Scott South of Austin; daughter, Dianne Elizabeth Maberry and husband, William David Maberry of Magnolia; Steven Lance South and wife, Amanda Ryan South of Magnolia; grandchildren, Melissa Kaye South-Bray and husband, Cecil Earl Bray, Delaney Elizabeth Maberry, Dylan Elizabeth Maberry, Tylar Avrey South, Stevie Laine South; great-grandchild, Cayden Earl Bray; and her fur baby, Topher.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Brother Rex Teter officiating.
