Danita Renee (McCaskill) Carlisle

SANTA FE – Mrs. Danita Renee (McCaskill) Carlisle passed from this life Wednesday June 22, 2022, in Clear Lake.

Renee was born August 3, 1959, in Texas City to Charles and Azell (Foster) McCaskill. She graduated from Santa Fe High School and went on to have an eclectic work history. She wasn’t afraid to take on jobs where most women shied away. Her career took her to many places, from an operator at the refinery to servicing lawnmowers and eventually Renee started her own wallpaper business, Paper Doll, she had a true passion for decorating and a distinct southwestern style. Above all, Renee was an animal lover especially of her pups and horses. As a young woman, she loved riding horses. She also enjoyed keeping up with her garden and picking her black berries.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles McCaskill and stepson, Brandon Carlisle.

Survivors include her mother, Azell McCaskill; brothers, Charles Blake McCaskill and wife, Stephanie, Jason Scott McCaskill and wife, Terrie; sister, Sandra Kaye Bradley and husband, Dalton; husband, Steve Carlisle; nephew, Joshua Bradley and wife, Margot; nieces, Alicia McCaskill, Kendell Bradley, Katie Yanas and husband, Brandon, Maddie McCaskill, Lexie McCaskill; 9 great nieces and nephews; fur babies, Sparky and Jamie.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Mrs. Jackie Talbert officiating.
