SANTA FE – David Cornelius Foreman died peacefully at home in Santa Fe, Texas surrounded by his family and friends Sunday, January 22, 2023. David was born in Savannah, Georgia.
He is predeceased by his parents, William C. Foreman and Ollie Ingram Foreman; his children, David Foreman, III and Donna Alane Foreman Bova.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Regina Drott Foreman; sister, Diane Foreman Reardon (Albert); brother, William C. Foreman; son-in-law, Anthony L. Bova; grandsons, Benjamin Allen Bova and Noah James Bova; granddaughter, Mia Lauren Valdez (Gabriel); great-grandsons, Dresden Valdez and Jude Valdez.
David retired from Kirby Corporation, formerly Hollywood Marine in 1999. He was employed as Executive Vice President of Accutrans, Inc. at the time of his death. He helped guide the company’s growth by instilling his attitude of quality and safety. David was recently honored by Kirby Corporation when they named their latest vessel, the M. V. Dave Foreman in recognition of Dave’s contribution to the maritime industry.
He will be remembered in a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Hitchcock, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Prior to the funeral, a Rosary will be prayed at 10:30. Following the mass, friends and family are invited to have lunch in Madonna Hall and celebrate David’s life.
