Donald Joseph Goodson

LA MARQUE - Mr. Donald Joseph Goodson passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the age of 75, surrounded by family.

Born September 4, 1948, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering in the garage. He loved to build anything that we asked him to build. He coached baseball and softball for many years, and he loved being that role model. He was a great father, who was loved by many. He loved being around family and friends. He loved to gamble and would get so happy calling CHANGE!!!!!! He told the best stories, but you had better have at least 2 hours. He was a very humble and proud man and took so much pride in raising his family and watching us all grow. One of his pride and joys was watching his grandchildren grow and seeing them now making their way through life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Genevieve (Prusak) Goodson; sisters, Sandra Goodson, Connie Dillard; parents-in-law, Joe and Nadia Segien; niece, Dani Bishop.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Trudy Goodson; son, Donald Jack Goodson and wife, Renee; daughters, Nadia Galvan and husband, Edward, Myra Ford and husband, Jeremy; sisters, Linda Fuller, Sharon Williams; grandchildren, Jett Goodson, Raquel Vijay, Mackenzie Neff, Sammy Ford, Robin Walton, Joe Pete Ford; great-grandchildren, Millie Kate Walton, Marina Mendez, Harrison Goodson, Angelina Goodson; nephew, Billy Donald; fur babies, Milo and Doodle; many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Tyra Ranch, 10230 FM 2004, Santa Fe, Texas 77510.
