Dora "Sugar" Alice (O'Connor) O'Callaghan

SANTA FE – Mrs. Dora Alice “Sugar” O’Callaghan passed from this life Monday morning, August 19, 2024, in Santa Fe.

Born December 28, 1940, in Galveston, Mrs. O’Callaghan had been a lifelong resident of Galveston County and had lived in Santa Fe since 1965. Dora enjoyed playing bingo and cards, gardening, cooking and riding horses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Dora Alice (Jordan) O’Connor; husband, Clyde Edward O’Callaghan; daughter, Patty “Pepper” O’Callaghan.

Survivors include her son, Clyde Edward O’Callaghan, II and wife, Terrie; daughters, Cynthia Ann LeMaire and husband, David, Tracy Lynn Olds and husband, David, Susan Renee Williams and husband, Jeffery; brothers, Andrew “Boogie” O’Connor, John O’Connor; grandchildren, James Biela, II, Kassi Anderson, Ashley Groves, Trey O’Callaghan, Haley Perkins, Allison Perkins, Isabella Olds, Lauren Simon, Kami Row, Payton LeMaire, Jenica Vasquez, Caley Rogers; great grandchildren, AJ Biela, Addie Biela, Nathan McWhirter, Clyde E. O’Callaghan, IV, Ahni Row, Ellen Row, Harper Row, Mason Simon, Hank Simon, Emma Vasquez, Jaxton Vasquez, Vivian Rogers, Silas Rogers, Hunter and Hayden Puccetti, Haylie Hansen; great-great grandchild, J.J. Biela.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Biela, II, Clyde E. O’Callaghan, II, Trey O’Callaghan, David LeMaire, David Olds and Jeff Williams.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
