Doris Elizabeth (Silvee) Watson

TOMBALL – Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Watson passed away at the age of 99 on October 28, 2024, in Tomball.

Born December 9, 1924, in Galveston, TX, Mrs. Watson was a lifelong area resident. She attended First Christian Church in La Marque where she was very active. She was devoted to Bible study and sharing the Good News of her Savior. Doris enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and loved spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel George and Angela Elizabeth (Cisneros) Silvee; husband, Raymond Emmett Watson; daughters, Cynthia Elizabeth South, Robin Rae Hamilton; sisters, Ruth Ryland, Minerva Sanderson and Lita Jean Anderson.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Steven Lance South and wife, Amanda, Jeffrey South, Dianne Maberry and husband, David, Drew Hamilton and wife, Mary; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Brother Rex Teter officiating.
