Dorothy Sue McLenna

BERTRAM - Dorothy Sue McLenna, of Bertram, TX previously of Santa Fe, TX passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on February 19, 2025. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and cherished Grandma Sue.

Sue was born to Don Dee Millard and Alice Vera (Allen) Millard on July 1, 1940, in Fort Worth, TX. Sue married Edward Owen McLenna, Sr. on September 9, 1960.

Sue was a long-time active member of Midway Church of Christ. She was the librarian of Mae S. Bruce Library for many years. Many will remember her “poems” she wrote for the folks that moved on from Midway. She had a clever way with words. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, writing, puzzles, Bible Studies and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many dear friends that are blessed to have known her.

Sue is survived by her children, Edward McLenna, Jr. (Laura), David McLenna (Mary), Richard McLenna (Teresa), and Sandra Moore; as well as, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 2 unborn great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McLenna, Sr.

A memorial will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:30 am at Midway Church of Christ, 10408 SH-6, Hitchcock, TX 77563.
