HITCHCOCK – Mrs. Earline Kay Bobbitt passed from this life Sunday, February 28, 2021, in Texas City.

Earline was born in Galveston on June 30, 1951. She was a generous mother and grandmother who devoted most of her time to the care of her family while creating special memories with each one. She hosted countless tea parties for her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to play 42 in Dominoes. Earline was a unique woman with a strong personality. You always knew where she stood on any subject. She was an avid collector who could find value in just about anything she came across. She also loved going to casinos, shopping, making jewelry, panning for gold, and going on cruises. Her favorite flower, red rose, will always be a sweet reminder to her family of the love she had for them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Gaddis Wooley and Mary Elizabeth (Gastian) Wooley Schultz; guardian parents, Clarence and Madelyn Johnson; husband, Howard Dorgan Bobbitt, Sr.; daughters, Roseanna Gonzalez and Madalyn Tucker; stepson, Michael; half-brother, Robert Wooley; half-sister, Catherine Espin; sisters, Marilyn Johnson, Julie Bitterman; brother, George Wooley; beloved fur baby, Little Bit Bobbitt.

Survivors include her daughters, Clarisa Cantu and husband, Clifton Marsters, Wilda Wilson, Melody Rouleau and husband, Mike; Stepsons Howard Jr. and Ronnie Bobbitt; brothers, Gaddis Wooley and wife, Chris; half-brothers, Nickie and Michael Wooley; sister, Emily Petron; half-sisters, Marlene Schrull and Vickie Nallie; grandchildren, Brianna Bobbitt, Lachelle Watkins, Cheyanne Tucker, Madison Tucker, Ashley Vaughn and husband, Reydel Fonseca, Rebecca Vaughn and husband, Rodney Hall, Anthony Gonzalez, Nikolas Hernandez, Kyle Wegner, Dylan Wegner, Carl Hendrix, Andrew McNair, Aaron Mezzino, Brett Sportell, Myriah Wilson, Keagan Bitterman, Jake Coleman; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
