Elizabeth F. "Beth" Hamilton

SANTA FE - Elizabeth, better known by those who loved her as “Beth”, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her home, looking out over her beloved lake. She was born on January 19, 1960 in Winfield, Kansas to W. P. and Phyllis Hamilton.

As a teenager, Beth and her family moved to Texas. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1978 and embarked on an administrative career at UTMB Galveston. She enjoyed being part of the first computer programs used at UTMB. Beth later enjoyed running her own business and helping at the family-owned restaurant, PJ’S Lunchbox and Meat Market. She loved nature, cooking, crafting and crocheting. She also loved collecting Native American memorabilia and having a good cup of coffee while sitting on her porch.

A sweet soul at heart, Beth could also be very strong willed. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh with the best of them. Her true love in life was her family and her kitty cats. She delighted in spending time with all of them and watching them grow.

Beth is survived by her three daughters and spouses, Jennifer and Ben Groh, Ashley and Cory Hubbard, and Sara and Shawn Salas; one son, T.J. Hamilton and five beautiful grandchildren, Connor, Aiden, Jaime, Hazel and Parker. Beth also left behind her sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Allen Hayes and Tammy and Edward Seyfried as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Alan Splawn officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m.
