Eloisa Walker
SANTA FE - Mrs. Eloisa Walker passed from this life Thursday morning, August 13, 2020, in Santa Fe.
Eloisa was born October 30, 1935 in Kenedy to Domingo and Petra (Hernandez) Herrara. Growing up with 10 siblings, Eloisa knew the importance of big families. She raised 9 children of her own and on April 20, 1979, she married the love of her life, Donald. They were both dedicated members of Arcadia Christian Church and loved spending time with their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eloisa was a talented cook who made the best tortilla rice and beans, hands down. She loved tending to her plant babies in her garden and could beautifully craft through sewing, embroidery and crocheting. The love she instilled in her family will always live on until we can see her again one day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Petra (Hernandez) Herrera; husband, Donald Wayne Walker; brothers, Jose, George, Domingo, Johnny and Juan; sisters, Julia, Guadalupe, Ernestine and FiFi.
Survivors include children, Jesus “Jessie” Herrera and wife, Cheryl of Santa Fe, Rudy Herrera and wife, Donella of Santa Fe, Silvano Herrera and wife, Millou of La Marque, Margaret Small of Alvin, Alpha Ryan of Canon City, Colorado, Cecil Walker and wife, Melissa of Miami, Oklahoma, Paula Walker of Santa Fe, Donna Garcia and husband, Raul of Dickinson, Brooklyn Day and husband, Edward of Tampa, Florida; sister, Maria Morales and husband, Pablo of Matamoras, Mexico; more than 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Also, her grand-dog, Streetz.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Arcadia Christian Church, 14201 Beriton, Santa Fe, Texas, with Pastor Jeff Spielman officiating.
