ORANGE – Ms. Eugenia Renee “Jeannie” Brown passed from this life Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Houston.

Eugenia, known to family and friends as Jeannie, was born May 25, 1968, in Galveston to Erwin and Nancy (Dryer) Brown. Like a lot of kids growing up in the 70’s, Jeannie adopted a carefree approach to life. She could light up any room with her vivacious personality and she was sure to let you know exactly what she was thinking. Jeannie loved listening to Rock and Roll especially AC/DC. Jeannie was a seasoned collector of many things but knick knacks and antiques were her favorite treasures to find. Jeannie knew how to make the best of any situation. She was a strong, vibrant woman who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Lee Brown; brother, Jason Whetsein; stepmother, Anne Brown; granddaughter, Alice LaReyna Gonzalez.

Survivors include her mother, Nancy Eugenia (Dryer) King; sons, Lorenzo Lee Gonzalez and wife, Jovita. Daniel Ray Gonzalez, Carlos Martinez and wife, Brittany; daughter, Monica Martinez; brothers, Billy Keller and wife, Stephanie, Chris Keller and wife, Barbara; sister, Jenny Frapp and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Demetrius, Zariah, Jordan, Malaika, Ameera, Celi, Destiny, Lorenzo II, Nativa, Emma, Anthony, Jazmine, Abigail; goddaughter, Julie Keller; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mr. Isidro Gonzalez officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
