Floyce Earline (Parsons) Ricketts

STREETMAN – Mrs. Floyce Earline (Parsons) Ricketts passed from this life Monday morning, March 6, 2023, at her home in Streetman, TX, following a 5-year battle with cancer.

Born September 24, 1940 in Pecos, TX, to Earl Wayne and Peggy (Perry) Parsons. Floyce married her husband, Damon Ricketts, Jr. on October 14, 1963 in Abilene. She spent her life making a home for their children and the grandchildren that followed. Floyce loved to cook for her friends and family, enjoyed playing games and sewing. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was an extremely giving person who loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Wayne Parsons, II; and son, Earl Lynn Ricketts.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Rick Ricketts; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hartley and husband, Jodylane, Mary Leigh Cloud and husband, Phillip; stepsisters, Olyse Whitley, Anna Beth Anderson; grandchildren, Leigh O’Hara-Smith, Shanna O’Hara, Michael Williams, Marshall Williams, McKenzie Cloud, Trey Cloud; great grandchildren, Daegan O’Hara and Adelynn Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Heritage Park Baptist Church, 2732 FM 528, Webster, TX 77598, with Pastor Trent Henderson officiating.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Floyce’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 381052.
