Fredrick Frank O'Connor

LA MARQUE – Fredrick Frank O’Connor passed away at the age of 83 on Monday morning, December 22, 2025, in La Marque.

Born October 30, 1942, in Galveston, Mr. O’Connor was a lifelong area resident. He was a devoted butcher with H-E-B in Texas City, where he took great pride in his work and the people he served. Known for his strong work ethic and straightforward nature, he found joy outside of work in the things he loved most—his red truck, time spent fishing, traveling to new places, and his appreciation for firearms. He lived life on his own terms and will be remembered for his independence, skills, and the passions that brought him happiness. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Frank and Bertha Louise (Stewart) O’Connor; brothers, Carl Frank O’Connor, Jr., Rudolph O’Connor, Arnold O’Connor, Thomas O’Connor; sister, Effie Davidson, Bertha Monroe, Harriett Meadows, Lila Aimsworth.

Survivors include his daughters, Lisa O’Connor of Texas City, Kristi O’Connor of Galveston; sister Margie Dickey; grandchildren, Christian Lujan, Lauren Robles, Rena O’Connor, David O’Connor, Brandon O’Connor; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Packard, Luke Castro, Johnathon Castro, Lalo O’Connor, Arabella Richie, Raymond O’Connor, Brandon O’Connor, Jr.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
