Mary Regina (Gina) Hollis, formerly of Carthage, Mississippi, and most recently of San Leon, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2026, in the coastal community she cherished so deeply. Gina spent her retirement years along the peaceful shores of Galveston Bay, where she found comfort in the water, the breeze, and the quiet rhythm of bay life.
Gina was the devoted mother of Maneka Crumbley Lenox of San Leon, Texas; Sheena Crumbley, who preceded her in death; and Hannah Burnham of Meridian, Mississippi. She was a proud grandmother to Aiden Burns, Jack Jones, Jon Lenox, and Liam Lenox, each of whom brought her joy, laughter, and deep pride throughout her life.
She is survived by her sister, Brenda Hollis Latham of Carthage, Mississippi, and her brothers Terry Hollis and Jon T. Hollis, both of Brandon, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.T. and Gleva Hollis. Also,by her brother Randel Hollis. Gina’s family remembers her as spirited, loyal, and full of warmth.
Gina worked for many years as a hairdresser, a profession that reflected her creativity, her kindness, and her gift for making others feel cared for. Her clients often became friends, and her chair was a place of conversation, laughter, and connection.
In retirement, Gina embraced the beauty of life on the bay. She loved the water, the wildlife, and the peaceful days spent in the place that brought her joy. Those who knew her will remember her independence, her humor, and her deep love for her family.
Gina will be laid to rest at the San Leon Cemetery, beside her beloved granddaughter Josie Lenox, a place of quiet reflection overlooking the bay she loved so much.
Her family will honor her life privately, holding close the memories and love she leaves behind.
