Glenda Viola Stewart Porter

December 18th, 1950 – March 25th, 2024

Glenda Porter, 73, passed from this life in Clear Lake, TX on Monday, March 25th surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 18th, 1950, in Cedar Park, TX. Glenda grew up in and around Stephenville, TX and moved to Santa Fe, TX where she started a family and was a long-time resident. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years and later worked as a caregiver for the elderly and a nursing home attendant/housekeeper. Glenda loved music, dancing, the outdoors, gardening, and fishing!

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Christy Herod and husband, Ricky, Stephanie Porter and husband, Kevin Freudensprung; grandchildren, Aubrea Hunt, Payton Freudensprung, Coletyn Hunt and wife, Selbi, Tanna Freudensprung, Haley Pitre, Shelby Freudensprung, Gaige Thornton; great grandson, Waylon Hunt. She is the sixth of fourteen children and is proceeded in death by her beloved parents, Alfred Long Stewart, and Leona Adelle Bilbrey Stewart and four siblings.

Services will be held at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, TX Saturday, March 30th at 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Chalk Mountain Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Glenda’s service will be Kevin Freudensprung, Coletyn Hunt, Gaige Thornton, Rickey Stanfield, William Arthur, James Turner, Brad Ballard, Paul Cantrell, and honorary pall bearer, Kolby Ballard.
