Mr. Harold Leonard Moody, Jr., passed from this life Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2024, in Webster.
Born February 26, 1958, in Texas City, Harold grew up in Hitchcock and attended school there. He met his sweetheart, Kathy in their junior year of high school and by senior year, they were married. They shared 48 wonderful years together. Harold loved being a father and was extremely proud of their two sons, Chris and Jason. His professional career included being a farmer, an auto glass manager/technician, and a parts delivery driver for Santa Fe Auto Parts.
He loved muscle cars and owned two 1967 Plymouth Barracudas. One car was an ongoing project and the other was the “Race Car”. The race car used to drag race at Houston International Raceway in Dickinson and at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. That car was very well known and respected in the racing circle, and he was very proud of it.
He loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Nothing put a smile on his face more than kids, babies and their dog, Annie. He loved animals and the ashes of their American Bulldog; Maggie will go with him. The current fur baby, Annie thought that he couldn’t eat without her. He should have made a plate for two because he always shared his food with her.
Harold had registered as an organ donor and the family has honored his wishes. His legacy will live on through the gifts that he has given to so many others. He is loved and will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace. Until we meet again…
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjorie (Berndt) Moody, Sr.
