Hector Patiño

SANTA FE – Mr. Hector Patiño passed away at the age of 58 on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Webster.

Hector was born in Galveston on October 28, 1966. A true child of the 60’s, Hector had a passion for classic rock. Music was a huge part of his life. His knowledge of who sang what and when left all in amazement. He joined the Target team in 2003, and it was there that he not only made a living but found his second family. Hector enjoyed spending time at home or anywhere that had an Astro’s game on. He loved supporting the orange and blue. Like the music he listened to, Hector was a classic who will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rogers Patiño; stepfather, Gregorio Rodriguez; grandparents, Carlos and Carolina Patiño, Arnulfo and Benita Salinas.

Survivors include his mother, Gloria Rodriguez; son, Carlos “Alex” Patiño; daughter, Breanna Patiño; sisters, Kristina Rodriguez, Leticia Rodriguez (Juan); grandson, Malaki Reed Ovalle; aunt, Ana Lopez; nephews, Kael Cunningham, Vincent Rodriguez; nieces, Daisy Cunningham, Mikaela Rodriguez; friends, Virgil Ward (Stacy); his Target family and a host of other friends and family.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Mr. Virgil Ward officiating.
