James H. “Jim” Morgan
SANTA FE – Mr. James H. “Jim” Morgan passed from this life Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2019, in Webster.
Born October 9, 1932 in Wilburton, OK, Mr. Morgan had been a resident of Santa Fe for the past 3 years, previously of Bacliff and Trinidad, CO. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before beginning work with Amoco Chemical Company serving as a maintenance supervisor for 16 years. He was a former member of the Delagua Canyon Ranches Home Owners Association in Colorado, he enjoyed maintaining the roads going to his home, hunting and fishing but gardening was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Henderson and Thelma Josephine (Richardson) Morgan; sisters, Lorraine “Rain” Driggers, Virginia “Jean” Goodwin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Barbara Lynn “Lynnie” (Dozier) Morgan; son, Jimmy Lee Morgan; step-son, Warren Codding; daughters, Anita Morgan, Jolene Todd and husband, Scott; step-daughter, Gina Worthey; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held a later date. A cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.
