James "Jimmy" Robert Sullivan

SANTA FE - Mr. James Robert “Jimmy” Sullivan passed from this life Friday morning, August 2, 2024, in Santa Fe.

Born February 13, 1948, in Texas City, Mr. Sullivan had been a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. He was a septic system installer for over 35 years and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Jimmy had a special bond with his cows in Alvin. He found immense joy and fulfillment in caring for them, spending countless hours tending to their needs and enjoying the serenity of the farm. Jimmy loved catfishing and relished the peace and excitement of fishing trips, he cherished the moments of tranquility and the thrill of the catch. Known for his playful sense of humor, Jimmy loved teasing and joking with family and friends. He had a unique ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle (Anderson) and Robert Sullivan; brother, Michael L. Sullivan.

Survivors include his brother, David L. Sullivan and wife, Becky of Santa Fe; sister-in-law, Darlene Sargent and husband, Harry of Lake Jackson; nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Sullivan and wife, Lisa, Jenny Forasiepi and husband, Marvin, Jacob Sullivan and wife, Amanda; great nieces and nephews, Declan James, Raegan Sullivan; special friends, Darren Nordin, Bruce Rehm; his buddies on 13th Street.

A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Deacon Alvin Lovelady officiating.
