SANTA FE – Mrs. Jessie Mae (Brewer) Lee passed from this life Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Webster.

Born December 20, 1938, Mrs. Lee was a longtime resident of Santa Fe. She worked as a waitress at Parks Cafe in Alvin for 10 years. Jessie loved helping her husband mow grass and weed eat, she also loved to sing and decorate her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Jossie (Feltner) Brewer; husband, Bennie H. Lee; sister, Beatrice Moon.

Survivors include her sons, George Shackleford and wife, Bonita, John Earl Shackleford all of KY; brothers, Bud Brewer, James Brewer both of KY, Scott Brewer of IN; sisters, Janie Powell of IN, Pattie Brewer of KY; son and daughter-in-law, Margaret and Felix Lee; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren; caregivers, Brenda and Ruben Bautista.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Russ Fontaine officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
