Jimmy “JR” Hinojosa
HITCHCOCK - Mr. Jimmy “JR” Hinojosa passed from this life Friday morning, June 10, 2022, in Hitchcock.
Born September 27, 1960 in San Antonio, TX, Mr. Hinojosa had been a longtime resident of Galveston County. Jimmy worked as a cook for El Rancho Café for 25 years. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Tejano music, going on joy rides and scratch off lottery tickets, but enjoyed spending time with his friends and family most of all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Escamilla) Hinojosa; brother, Joe John Hinojosa and nephew, Jon Andrew Hinojosa.
Survivors include his father, Santiago “Jimmy” Hinojosa; mother of his children, Diana Fleming; daughters, Monica Eakes and husband, Nick, Jessica Hobbs and husband, Cody, Mary Tremble and husband, Jerimiah; brother, Ricky Hinojosa; sisters, Laura Copado and husband, Danny, Rosa Ramos, Dolores Guillen, Agnes Lopez and husband, Tico, Esther Nolasco and husband, Jesse; grandchildren, Ella Pena and Allison Potter.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Alta Loma Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Eakes, Anthony Hinojosa, Cody Hobbs, Kyle Dunne, Michael Lopez and Xavier Nolasco.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. led by Don LeCompte at the Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
