DICKINSON - Mr. John Milton Trotter passed from this life Monday morning, September 5, 2022, in Dickinson.

Born April 11th, 1940 in Gorman, Texas, Mr. Trotter had been a resident of Dickinson, Texas since 2021 and previously of McKinney, TX. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington before beginning his career as a computer network engineer working for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 35 years. John’s special interests included space exploration and deep love for history. His tender heart was reflected in his love of animals, especially cats.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward and Ruby Louise (Coleman) Trotter, brothers, Robert Edward Trotter, Hubbie Trotter and sister, Virginia B. Harrison.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Laura (Holcomb) Trotter; son, John Matthew Trotter and wife, Georgina; daughter, Tascha Turnley and husband, Brad; brother, Melvin Wallace Trotter, grandchildren, Robert J. Blade Trotter, Caden Turnley, Cazzel Turnley, Dane Turnley; and his beloved fur babies, Owee, Ivan, Missy, Edith, and Milo.

A memorial service will be 2:00 pm. Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Reverend Paul Meiller officiating.
