John "Jay" Whitaker

SANTA FE - John “Jay” Whitaker passed away on Friday July 12th.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Jefferson Whitaker and Mary Margaret “Peggy” Whitaker; his sister, Karen Unger; nephew, Scott Martin and niece, Julie Unger.

He is survived by his two daughters. Jay Michelle Bland and husband, Craig Bland, Amy Boman and husband, Ronny Boman; grandchildren, Tyler Bland, Laney Bland, Sydney Bland, Garrett Bland, Carter Roberts and Nathan Boman; his sister, Kathy Martin; brother, Michael Whitaker; sister, Mary Ann Jones; nephews, Jimmy Unger, Brent Martin and nieces, Cindy Unger and Jessica Conert.

A private graveside memorial for family members will be held at Grace Memorial Cemetery.
