Jose Hector Manzanares, Sr.
HITCHCOCK - Mr. Jose Hector Manzanares, Sr. passed from this Saturday, August 1, 2020, in Galveston.
Born June 20, 1950 in San Miguel, El Salvador, Mr. Manzanares had been a longtime resident of Hitchcock. Jose had worked for the Port of Galveston for 10 years. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and building things, but fishing was what he loved to do most, besides spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalio Molina and Blanca Manzanares; sister, Maria De Los Angles; brother, Jose Mario.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 25 years, Maria Pineda; daughters, Sulema Hall and husband, Demetrius, Gemima P. and husband, Nelson, Cesia M., Ester S., Blanca M. and husband, Rafael; sons, Omar B. and wife, Rosa, Moiser M., Jose, Jr., Milton A.; brothers, Candelario, Jorge, Benedicto, Juan Carlos; sisters, Obdulia, Esther, Narcedalia, Rosa Emilia, Silvia; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his furbabies, Reyna, Horchata and Zavier.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the parlor of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
