Joy Edwina Rosson-Meadows

SANTA FE – Mrs. Joy Edwina Rosson-Meadows passed away at the age of 68 on October 27, 2025, in Santa Fe.

Born June 30, 1957, in Texas City, Mrs. Rosson-Meadows was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. For more than 20 years, she proudly served the community through her work with Dickinson Postal Service. Outside of work, Joy found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, fishing, and relaxing at the beach. A talented cook and a true free spirit, she loved to share good food and good company with family and friends. Known for a generous heart Joy often delighted in buying things for others—whether they needed them or not—just to bring a smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ailene (Nichols) Rosson.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Alvin Meadows; son, Clyde Stavely and wife, Heather of Santa Fe; daughter, Lissa Rosson of Algoa; stepson, Justin Meadows and wife, Taelor; sisters, Donna Williams and husband, Randy of Santa Fe, Beth Rosson-Dohrtey of Santa Fe; brothers, John Rosson of Santa Fe, Curtis Rosson and wife, JoAnn of Dallas; grandchildren, Summer Stavely, Allison Stavely, Jayde Purl, Elizabeth Purl; step grandchildren, Jayce and Tatum Meadows.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas, with Pastor Mike LaBerge officiating.
