Julene (Salles) David

SANTA FE – Mrs. Julene David passed away at the age of 85 on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Santa Fe.

Born February 6, 1940. in Cuero, Texas, Mrs. David was a resident of Santa Fe for most of her life, previously of Cuero A person of deep Baptist faith, Julene found joy in the beauty of God’s creation, whether tending to their flower garden or spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. These passions brought them comfort, reflection, and many cherished memories with family and friends. She was a proud former member of FOE Aerie 3789, where they built lasting friendships and a sense of community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Nancy (Pate) Salles; daughter, Nancy Ann David; son, Coy Lynn David; 8 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 67 years, Fred David; sons, Fred David, Jr., and Ronald David both of Santa Fe; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Courtney Britton, Keith David, Joshua Fisher, Shawn Rogan, Tommy Stracener and Caleb Vervalin. Honorary bearer will be James Williams.
