June Rogers-Lee Obituary

June Rogers-Lee, age 86, passed away at her home in Santa Fe, Texas, surrounded by her loving family on the evening of Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born Elva June Truitt on October 25, 1938, in Olton, Texas, to George Bryant and Mary Ella (Garrison) Truitt.

June was a true Texas girl, growing up in Plainview and attending Wayland Baptist College. She began her career at a Dodge dealership in Plainview and later worked at another Dodge dealership in McKinney. June then became the business manager at Norman Frede Chevrolet in Clear Lake and eventually retired from Ron Carter Autoland in Pearland.

June had a deep passion for volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She began as a volunteer for a dance committee in Clear Lake and later became involved in The Village Fair, Style Show and Style Show Dance, and the World Championship BBQ Cookoff Committee. June's dedication led her to become the President of the NASA/Clear Lake Trail Riders Association, Co-Chairman of the NASA/Clear Lake Go Texan Committee, and she was honored as a Lifetime Committee Member.

June's greatest love was her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a devoted servant to God and faithfully lifted up her family and friends in daily prayer until she herself went to be with the Lord.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee; her parents, George and Mary Ella Truitt; her brother, Norma Jean Truitt; and her sisters, Phyllis Clementine Temple and Joy Beth Berner.

She is survived by her son, Rocky (Diana) Mauldin; her daughters, Derinda Norred and Mindy (Christopher) Spitzer-Bryan; her grandchildren, Cody (Jessica) Simonton, Mareena Mauldin, Krista (Bryan) Thompson, Megan Moneyhun, Mitchell Mauldin, Leah (Steven) Broom, Jamie Norred, and Brandon (Penni, Shelby) Norred; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
