Kale Rightmire Obituary

Kale Allen Rightmire

SANTA FE - Mr. Kale Allen Rightmire passed from this life Monday evening, March 25, 2024, in Houston, Texas.

Kale was born July 24, 1962 in Clovis, Curry County, New Mexico and was a lover of the great outdoors.  He found solace and excitement in the art of fishing at some of his favorite sweet spots like Sergeant and Freddiesville. As an avid hunter, Kale pursued white-tail deer. The quiet moments spent in the woods were not just about the hunt but about the connection to the land and the traditions passed down. Kale had a passion for fast Chevrolets, reveling in the thrill of the open road. But above all, Kale was a nurturing soul who helped raise many children with love and care. He played a vital role in shaping their lives, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love. His legacy lives on in the hearts and lives of those he touched, leaving behind a lasting impact that will be remembered for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joycelynn (Hayes) Rightmire.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 28 years, Leah Rightmire; son, Kolten Rightmire and wife, Sandra; daughter, Zoe Canady; gran-babies, Emma, Elliott and Kurtis; brothers, Kevin Rightmire and wife, Laurie, and Kent Rightmire; Niece Skyler Rightmire, and son Erik; and several other nieces and nephews plus many critters at the homestead.

A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Leah’s name to Texas First Bank, routing/account number 113110256/10486413.
