Laura (McDonald) Henderson

HOUSTON - Mrs. Laura (McDonald) Henderson passed from this life Friday evening, March 15, 2024, in Houston.

Born July 7, 1956, in Texas City, Mrs. Henderson had been a resident of Houston since 2016, previously of Austin and Hitchcock. She was a Home Health care nurse’s aide for 26 years. She enjoyed working on cars, leatherworking and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen (Clark) McDonald; husband, Leslie Henderson.

Survivors include her son, Theron Henderson of Austin; daughter, Krishena Blackerby of Spring; brothers, Lynn McDonald and wife, Cecilia of New Caney, Joel McDonald and wife, Roxanne of Houston; grandchildren, Lydia Henderson, Theo Anderson; several nieces and nephew.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m Thursday, March 21, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating..
