Lawrence “Jack” Croft

DICKINSON - Mr. Lawrence “Jack” Croft passed from this life Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023, in Texas City.

Born June 25, 1961 in Galveston, Mr. Croft had been a lifelong resident of the area. Jack was an engineer with Seafarers Union for 40 years and enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, boating and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gordon Croft; brother, Michael Croft; longtime companion, Charlotte Cooper.

Survivors include his mother, Frances Croft of Hitchcock; brothers, Kenneth Croft of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Craig Croft of Hitchcock; stepson, Adam Cooper of Dickinson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mr. Michael Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 - 7 p.m. Friday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with a Rosary recited by the Mr. Michael Carr beginning at 7:00 p.m.
