HUMBLE - Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Boysen, Jr. went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, February 6, 2024, in Houston.


Born September 18, 1952, in Victoria, Texas, Mr. Boysen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Born with a passion for the great outdoors, he thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting. Beyond his outdoor pursuits, Larry was a person who effortlessly touched the hearts of everyone he met. Known for his warm personality, genuine kindness, he forged lasting friendships and left a positive impression on all who crossed his path. He never forgot a name or a face. He had a phenomenal memory.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Boysen, Sr. and Betty Jo (Adams) Boysen.


Survivors include his son, Lawrence Boysen, III and wife, Patricia of Houston; stepmother, Olivia Boysen of Conroe; brothers, Stephen Wayne Boysen, Sr. of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, John Edward Thompson and wife, Dianna of Nacogdoches; sisters, Cheryl Mickle and husband, Terry of Dickinson, Rachael Honeycutt and husband, George of Willis; grandchildren, Skye Whitney, Summer Boysen, Sage Boysen, Sabre Boysen; great-grandchildren, Jovi, Nolan, Athena, Nova; 9 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.


Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas, with Mr. Russell McLaughlin officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2201 North Main Street, Victoria, Texas.


Pallbearers will be Lawrence Boysen, III, Sage Boysen, John Thompson, Anthony Janik, Rodney Davis and Dustin Wofford.
