Lee Williams Allums
HOUSTON - Mr. Lee Williams Allums passed from this life Sunday morning, March 26, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
Lee was born March 20, 1973, in Kansas City, Kansas. Lee was a resident of Houston for 20 years, previously of Texas City. Lee accepted Christ at an early age at House of Prayer Deliverance Holiness Church, where his mother, Versell Allums was the Pastor. Lee later became a member of New Nation Baptist Church. Lee had been a truck driver for the past 15 years, working for numerous companies. When Lee was not working, he was a writer and author. The Door is his latest published book.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie J. Allums, Sr. and Versell K. Allums Thompson; nephew, Donald A. Miles “Jon Jon”.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Barbara Allums; sons, Nathan Allums, Namon Allums, Lee W. Allums, Jr.; daughter, Bria Belle; brothers, Stanley Nelson, John Allums, Edward Allums; sister, Carolyn Patterson; aunt, Herris Kimble Rawles; uncle, Gerald Kimble and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Minister Betty Nelson Young officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Allums, Edward Allums, Stanley Nelson, Nathan Allums, Namon Allums and Edward Woodall. Honorary bearers will be Gary Edmonds, Courtney Edmonds, Ernest Williams and Charles Griffin.
