BACLIFF - Mr. Leonard Curry Moffett passed from this life Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Bacliff.
Born May 2, 1944 in Dickinson, Mr. Moffett had been a lifelong area resident. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a former telephone operator. Leonard enjoyed reading, wood working, mechanic and electrical work and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Esther (Singleton) Moffett; sister, Esther Myrle Moffett; brother, Alwynn James Moffett; brother-in-law, Doug Dawson; sister-in-law, Maurdine Moffett.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Donna Moffett; son, Shawn Moffett of Bacliff; brothers, William Lloyd Moffett of Santa Fe, John Wayne Moffett of League City; sisters, Lillie Virginia Padgett and husband, Russell of Bacliff, Sonja Marie Dawson of Seneca, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Victoria Lynne Moffett, Leonard Shawn Moffett, Jr.
A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
