DAYTON - Mr. Lester Lee Whisneant passed from this life Friday evening, September 10, 2021, in Houston.
Born May 26, 1945 in Fred, TX, Mr. Whisneant had been a longtime resident of Dayton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air National Guard. Lester was the owner/operator of Goose Creek Contractors’. He enjoyed traveling whenever he got a chance but spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, was his favorite thing to do.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Ruth (Williams) Whisneant; wife, Charlene Louise Whisneant; brother, Alvin Whisneant.
Survivors include his loving son, Les Whisneant and wife, Carey; sister, Earnestine Durdin and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Lauren Whisneant, Larissa Whisneant and Braylea Miller.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, in the home of Les and Carey Whisneant, 3815 Shady Lane, Santa Fe, Texas, 77517.
A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
