Madeline Marullo Obituary

SANTA FE – Mrs. Madeline Frances (Ghinaudo) Marullo passed away from this life Friday morning, May 31, 2024, in Texas City.

Madeline was born July 17, 1937, in Hitchcock. After graduating High School, she married Frank Marullo and together they started a family. She worked for UTMB Dermatology Department for 25 memorable years. Madeline put her faith in the Lord and committed herself to the good works of the church in many capacities. She served in the Alter and Rosary Society- where she served as president several times, money counting team member, Sunday school teacher and CCE instructor. Madeline lived a life dedicated to enriching the lives around her but her involvement in the community went beyond the church walls. She served several terms as president for Mainland Hospital Auxiliary - advocating for patient well-being, delighted in being a Cub Scout den leader, and provided help to the Galveston County Cook Off Committee for many years. Madeline’s easy-going personality stayed true even through her courageous battle with breast cancer. She fought hard and rarely complained. Her legacy of selflessness and service to others will always continue to inspire us.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Ghinaudo, Sr. and Adelle Margaret (Moratto) Ghinaudo; aunts, Lucy Ghinaudo, Catherine Ghinaudo (Sister Lucy); sister, Marie Vawters, brother, Frank Ghinaudo, Jr. and wife, Cathy; twin brother and sister, Frank Ghinaudo, Elizabeth Ghinaudo; daughter-in-law, Janie Murrey, nephews, Tim and Michael Vawters.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Daniel Sam Marullo and wife, Karen, James Frank Marullo and wife, Stephanie, Cynthia Marie Powell and husband, Howard, Dr. Paul William Marullo and wife, Kathy; brother, A.D. Ghinaudo and wife, Paulette, 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
