Margie Fiegel Obituary

GALVESTON – With full hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Mrs. Margie Fiegel on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Margie was born on July 30, 1938, in Houston, Texas. She was a longtime resident of League City, where she raised her family, before later making Galveston her home. She found a peace in the rhythm of island life, often running on the seawall with her beloved dogs or spending quiet mornings watching the pelicans glide over the bay.

Margie had a gentle spirit and a patient heart. She believed in taking her time and never rushing through the moments that mattered. Whether in conversation, cooking in the kitchen, tending to her garden, or simply sitting and visiting with those she loved, she gave her full presence in every moment. Her kindness was quiet but constant, and her love for her family was at the center of everything she did. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her grandchildren, and the time she spent with them will be cherished always.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Lee and Margaret Jane Douglas; her husband, Harry John Fiegel; her brother, Gary Douglas; and her grandson, Brandon Kyle Fiegel.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, John Fiegel and wife, Claudia, Bryan Fiegel and wife, Lisa, Keith Fiegel and wife, Kathy; her brother, Ronnie Douglas and wife, Lynda; her grandchildren, Carey Jackson and husband, Cameron, Tabitha Fiegel, Jared Fiegel and wife, Alli, Aulton Fiegel, and Nathan Fiegel; and her great-grandchildren, Carlee Jackson, Catie Jackson, Casey Jackson, Caroline Jackson, and Hunter Fiegel; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

Margie’s life was a beautiful example of love shown in the little moments. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 State Highway 6, in Hitchcock, TX. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, with Deacon Steve Stich officiating.
