Maria Del Rosario (Rivera) Wagner

TRINITY – Mrs. Maria Del Rosario (Rivera) Wagner passed away at the age of 73 on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Huntsville.

Born July 24, 1951, in Brownsville, Texas, Maria graduated from St. Philip Catholic High School in 1970 and went on to make a lasting impact both professionally and personally. Since 1983, she owned and operated A Cleaner World, beyond her business, she was deeply rooted in faith as a member of First Love Church in Texas City. She gave her time generously, volunteering with the Texas City Salvation Army and participating actively in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 89 and AARP. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — bowling, dancing, reading, and taking peaceful nature walks — but her greatest joy came from the time she spent with friends and her treasured family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe Leal and Manuelita (Hidalgo) Rivera; brothers, Guadalupe Rivera, Jr. and Reynaldo Rivera.

Survivors include his husband of 52 years, William R. “Bill” Wagner, Sr.; sons, William Ray Wagner, Jr., Robert Lee Wagner; daughters, Michelle Renee Thomas and husband, Patrick, Cecilia Marie Wagner; brothers, Manuel Rivera and wife, Imelda, Leonardo Rivera and wife, Laurie, Esteban Rivera and wife, Theresa, Justin Rivera and wife, Jennifer; sister, Dianna Rivera-Ramon and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Christian Maccini, Ethan Hunter Thomas, William Ray Wagner, III, Corinne Nicole Wagner, Brandon Payne, Sydney Brooke Payne, Kayden Wagner; numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 16, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.

Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
