Mary Ann Cothey

Mrs. Mary Ann Cothey passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in League City.

Born April 23, 1947, in Pekin, Illinois, Mrs. Cothey had been a resident of Santa Fe for 42 years. She was a talented cook who shared her skills and warmth with many at Blues Bar and Grill, where she worked for years, she leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lillian (Brewer) Martin; husband, Charles Russell Cothey; sister, Nancy Martin; brother, Donald Martin.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Cothey and wife, Tracy, Charles Cothey and wife, Ginger; daughters, Lori Buck and husband, Jerry, Sharon Lamb and husband, Lloyd; sisters, Judy Jones, Sherry Metz and husband, Kenny, Kathy Ward; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
