SANTA FE - Mrs. Mary Lucille Klump passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2024, in Dickinson.
Born September 5, 1929, in Plainview, Texas, Mary’s adventurous spirit took her across the globe, where she traveled to numerous countries, always eager to explore new cultures and landscapes. One of the highlights of her life was serving as a tour guide to Israel, sharing her deep knowledge and passion for the land with others. Mary was a talented seamstress and had a gift for creating beautiful items that brought joy to many. Alongside her sewing talents, she was also a master gardener, cultivating vibrant gardens that were a reflection of her dedication and love for nature. Mary also played a significant role in the development of the 700 Club, contributing her time and energy to a cause she believed in deeply. Her love for people was evident in the countless friendships she nurtured over the years. Mary was a friend to many, always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, or a helping hand. She had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Sarah (Russell) Keller; husband, Jerome “Joe” Klump; siblings, William “Bill” Keller, Anna Mae Keller Lockard, Russell Keller, Helen Keller Morrison, Alfred Keller, Alma Keller Faulkenburg, Calvin Hugh Keller, Paul Donald Keller.
Survivors include her daughters, Anita Schneider and husband, Jimmie of Santa Fe, Frieda Jo Seibert of Buffalo, Texas; stepchildren, Michele Kuxhausen and husband, Steve of Houston, Teresa Carpenter and husband, Jim of Austin, David Klump of New Orleans, Louisiana, Annie Klump of Austin; grandchildren, L. Jason Godfrey, Matthew D. Schneider, Eric Kuxhausen, Sarah Kuxhausen, Chloe Klump, Ashley Klump, Zachary Klump, Amy Seibert, Renee Ottley, Celina Schneider, Erica Goodfrey; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Godfrey, L. J. Godfrey, Cheyenne Slattery, Aubriegh Smith, Adam Schneider, Owen Schneider, Anistyn Mason, Jacob Counselor, Luke Schneider, Elijah Schneider, Ashton Ottley, Aceyn Schneider, Blake Schneider, Aksel Ottley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 – 12:00 with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Chaplain Daniel Diaz DeLeon officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Counselor, Jason Godfrey, Bob Langham, Michael Pierson, Jimmie Schneider and Matthew Schneider.
