Mary Sue McGinnis

DICKINSON – Ms. Mary Sue McGinnis passed away at the age of 91 on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Texas City.

Born June 22, 1934 in Pontiac, Missouri, she devoted 15 years of her life as an electronic assembler for Allied Signal Aerospace in Kansas City. She attended San Leon Baptist Church and found great joy in praise and worship, as well as listening to gospel music. She loved to travel, but her greatest joy was always her family, whom she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Iva (Hillhouse) McGinnis; son Kirby Walker; brothers, Lester McGinnis, Marlin McGinnis, Ralph McGinnis, Dale McGinnis and Doye McGinnis.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Walker and wife, Vickie of Basehor, Kansas, Clifford Donald Walker of Shawnee, Kansas, Clifford Ronald Walker and wife, Sandra of Dickinson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2026, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
