Mary Ann McLaren
TEXAS CITY - Mrs. Mary Ann McLaren passed from this life Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021, in Texas City.
Born September 30, 1949 in Galveston, Mrs. McLaren was a lifelong resident of Galveston County and worked at Southwestern Bell for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Evelyn (Johns) McLaren; brother, David McLaren; son-in-law, Brian Cheek.
Survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Floyd McNeal; daughters, Veronica Cheek, Tonya Springer; brothers, Ronnie McLaren, Jerry McLaren, Richard McLaren; grandchildren, Evelyn Covington and husband, Trevor, Lauren Bell, Victoria Bell; great-grandchildren, Silas Covington, Ryder Bell and Justin Strader.
A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Her family will spend a day remembering the happy times with her and spreading her ashes in one of her favorite places on earth, a beach in Galveston, Texas while listening to Elvis Presley.
